How often should I get a massage?

This depends on your lifestyle, stress levels and overall health goals. For general wellness and stress relief, a massage once or twice a month is often enough to maintain balance and relaxation. However, if you’re dealing with chronic pain or managing a high stress lifestyle, weekly sessions can be more beneficial. Regular massage therapy can improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and enhance overall wellbeing – making it a valuable part of a healthy routine. I am happy to create a personalised schedule to meet your specific needs.

What should I expect during a massage treatment?

When you book in for a massage you will receive an electronic consultation form to complete prior to your appointment. Before your session begins, I will discuss your needs, preferences and any areas you’d like me to focus on. I will explain the treatment and then leave the room for you to undress to your comfort level and lie down on a spacious massage table under soft towels. During your treatment, I am happy to chat or to leave you to completely unwind. I will check pressure preferences and ensure you’re comfortable and relaxed. After the session, you’ll be given a few moments to rest and I will share some aftercare advice, before packing away.

What do I need to wear for a massage?

For your massage, you can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Most people undress to their level of comfort. You’ll be properly draped with a towel at all times, and only the area being worked on with be uncovered. If you prefer to keep some clothes on, that’s totally fine. Just let me know what works best for you.

What do I need to prepare for a mobile massage?

For a mobile massage, there’s not much you need to do! Just make sure there’s a quiet, comfortable space for me to set up. Ideally, the area should be around 6×10 feet of space. It’s helpful if the area is warm and free from distractions. I’ll bring the massage table, clean towels and linens, oils and everything else needed, so you can just relax and enjoy.

How long does set up and packing down take?

I allow myself 10 minutes for each, so an additional 20 minutes on top of the treatment time.

What do I do if I need to cancel?

Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations will be accepted up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Within 24 hours of the appointment time, cancellations will be charged 50% of the scheduled fee.
